Improvement of technology gives the change to humankind build larger, heavier and more complex structures. For geotechnical engineers, faced with transferring loads that is increasing, determination load-settlement behaviour has become inevitable for reliable foundation design. In this study, it aimed determinate bearing behavior shallow foundations. purpose, a test setup been formed loading tests have carried out by means small scale model rest on granular soil different relative densities situations. Additionally, numerical analyses, adhering experimental program 1g physical tests, finite element based software ABAQUS/CAE obtained results compared results. As result study shown density very effective parameter The can serve as reference preliminary assessment in sandy soils without conducting expensive time-consuming field trials.
